NASAL CAVITY AND PARANASAL CANCER

Nasal cavity and paranasal sinus cancer are major type of head and neck cancer. It occurs when epithelial cell of nasal cavity and paranasal sinus become cancerous and grows abnormally.

These cancers develop in any sinuses but usually begin in maxillary sinus.

NASAL CAVITY AND PARANASAL CANCER CAUSES:

  Exact cause is not known but there are some factor which increases risk of developing nasal   cavity and paranasal sinus cancer. These factors are:

1. Smoking 
2. Exposure to dust, Nickel compounds, Radium, etc also increase risk of cancer
3. Human papilloma virus
4. Exposure to toxic substance also increase risk 
5. Secondary exposure to smoke
6.  Low Immunity
7.  Poor diet, Lack of nutrition

 NASAL CAVITY AND PARANASAL CANCER SYMPTOMS:

1. Nose bleeding
2. Smell power decreased
3. Blockage of nose cause stiffness of nose
4. Irritation, itching inside nose
5. Pain above or below eyes
6. Vision impaired- loss of sight partially or double vision
7. Watery eyes
8. Itching, pain in eyes
9. Bulging of eyes mainly affected one
10. Headache 
11. Difficult opening of mouth
12. Lump node swollen in neck
13. Growth anywhere on face, nose , roof of mouth
14. Fever
15. Weakness, fatigue

DIGNOSIS:

1. Physical examination
2. Noso endoscopy
3. Biopsy for nasal and paranasal sinus growth
4. CT- scan, MRI

NASAL CAVITY AND PARANASAL CANCER PRACUTIONS:

1. Quit smoking
2. Quit tobacco chewing
3. Avoid too much exposure to chemical, toxic substance, at work place
4. Eat healthy food
5. Exercise regularly
6. Maintain immunity
7. Include vitamin and nutrition rich diet 
8. Maintain weight
9. Avoid exposure to wood dust, polluted air, nickel substance

NASAL CAVITY AND PARANASAL CANCER HOMOEOPATHIC TREATMENT:

1. Gauze before eyes, Itching in eyes

Gelsemium

1.   Headache, heaviness of head
2.  Dull, heavy eye with heaviness of eyelids
3.  Vision blurred, smoky, dim sight, bruised pain behind the eyes/orbits
4.  Sneezing, fullness at root of nose, dryness of nasal fosse
5.  Dull headache with fever
6. Swelling of turbinate’s
