KAPOSI SARCOMA

Kaposi sarcoma is a type of cancer which develop in lining of soft tissues of the body mainly blood and lymph vessels.

It appear as lesions or tumors on skin, mouth, these tumors can also develop in other soft tissue, inside body such as, GIT, lungs, lymph nodes

It is rare type of cancer

What are the CAUSES of KAPOSI SARCOMA

Infected with human herpes virus 8 (HHV8) leads to Kaposi sarcoma

Not all people affected with this virus develop Kaposi sarcoma. Most people who develop Kaposi sarcoma have weaker immune system along with HHV8 virus infection.

 Other risk factors are:- 

    -HIV infection

    – AGE – Older people are at higher risk

   – People went through organ transplantation

SYMPTOMS of KAPOSI SARCOMA

1. Purple, red and brown lesion or spot on skin
2. Mostly lesion appear on legs or face
3. Swelling in legs
4. Kaposi sarcoma develop anywhere in body mucous membrane
5. If develop in lungs cause shortness of breath
6. In intestine cause abdominal pain, indigestion diarrhea
7.  Lesions sometime bleed
8. Lesion block flow of lymphatic fluids cause severe swelling arms, legs, face or scrotum

DIAGNOSIS of KAPOSI SARCOMA:

1. Physical examination 
2. Biopsy – punch biopsy for skin
3. Chest X-ray
4. Bronchoscopy
5. Gastro intestinal endoscopy
6. Fecal occult blood test

 PRECAUTION KAPOSI SARCOMA

1. Avoid smoking 
2.  Avoid drinking
3. Maintain body weight
4. Regularly exercise
5. Avoid un protective intercourse
6. Maintain hygiene
7. Boost immunity
8. Eat healthy fresh food
9. Avoid to much physical contact with person HHV8 infected

KAPOSI SARCOMA HOMOEOPATHIC TREATMENT

 Arsenicum album:

1. Epthelioma of skin
2. Malignant pustules
3. Burning, itching edematous eruptions on skin
4. Unable to lie down feel suffocated, Air passage
5. Abdomen painful sensation as if wounds in wall of abdomen
6. Anacarca, swollen legs- arm, whole body 
7. Easily bleeding gums
