INTRAOCULAR MELANOMA

It is rare type of cancer develop in middle layer of eyes. In intraocular melanoma the melanocyte cell of eye, which give color to our eyes start growing abnormally.

Intraocular melanoma is also known as Uveal melonoma or occular melanoma.

CAUSE of INTRAOCULAR MELANOMA:

 The exact cause which leads to development of this cancer is not known yet but there are some risk factor which increase chance of development of intraocular melanoma:-

   These factors are:

1. Excessive UV exposure
2. People having blue or green color eyes are at higher risk
3. Color;- White/ fair skin people are at higher risk
4. Dysplastic nevi have tendency to develop into malignant melanoma
5. Older people are at higher risk

SYMPTOMS of INTRAOCULAR MELANOMA:

1. Blue vision
2. Watery eyes
3. Eye Displacement within socket
4. Dark spot in the iris
5. May see floaters in person field of vision, it may appear as circles, dots, lines, coweb
6. Sometime pain in and around eyes.

DIAGNOSIS of INTRAOCULAR MELANOMA :

1. Physical examination
2. To check inside of eye do opthalmoscopy
3. Ultra sound
4. Fluoresce angiography
5. Blood test, CT-scan, MRI, of body part- To check whether or not spread of cancer to other parts.
6. Biopsy

PRECAUTION:

1.  Regular checkup of eyes
2.  Avoid smoking
3. Avoid excessive exposure to UV rays
4. Regular exercise
5. Eat healthy leafy veg.

    -Vitamin A include in diet

• Drink appropriate amount of water

INTRAOCULAR MELANOMA HOMOEOPATHIC TREATMENT:

Euphrasia  officinalis:

1. The eyes water all the time
2. Avoid lachrymation
3. Iritis
4. Burning and swelling of the lids
5. Opacities
6. Blue vision
7. Frequent inclination to blink
8. Pain in and around eyes

Mercuris Solubilis:

1. Profuse burning acrid discharge from eyes
2. Floating black spot in vision
3. Burning pain in eyes
4. Lids red, thick, swollen
5. Iritis painful and sensitive
6. Heaviness feel in eyes
7. Vision diminish

Phosphorus:

1. Sensation in eyes as if everything covered with mist dust
2.  Black points seem float before eyes
3. Fatigue of eyes even without much using of it
4. Pain in orbital bone
5. Edema of lids and around eyes
6. Loss of vision
7. Degenerative changes in eyes.
