CHORDOMAS
Chordomas are a very rare type of cancer in children. It’s a slow growing cancer of the spine. It can develop anywhere in the spine but commonly found in the skull base.
CHORDOMAS CAUSE:
Exact cause of chordomas is not known
Tuberous sclerosis, genetic disorder condition link to childhood chordoma growth
Some studies identifies changes in TBXT genes in people affected with chordoma with\ without family history of chordomas
WHAT ARE THE CHORDOMAS SYMPTOMS:
- Chordoma grows it puts pressure on nearby area of spinal cord or brain where tumor is located
- Pain
- Weakness
- Numbness in back, arms , legs
- Double vision
- Blurry vision
- Severe headache at back of skull
- Facial paralysis / pains
CHORDOMAS DIAGNOSIS:
- Imaging test:
– X-RAY
– CT-scan
– MRI
- Biopsy
- Blood test
PRECAUTIONAL MEASURES:
- Regular checkup if history of chordomas in family
- Quit smoking and Use of Tobacco
- Consult physician if any symptoms appearing in children
CHORDOMAS HOMOEOPATHY TREATMENT:
Arsenicum Album:
- Great exhaustion after slight exertion
- Irritable weakness
- Confusion, restlessness
- Face, swollen, pale, sunken covered with sweat.
- Weakness in the small of back
- Pain and burning in back
- Trembling, twitching , spasm, cramps in calves
- Paralysis of the lower limbs
Lachesis:
- Pain in head, pressure and burning in vertex
