CHILDHOOD CARDIC TUMOR

Cardiac tumors are neoplasm grow in inner lining, muscle layer or pericardium surrounding the heart.

Cardiac tumors are either benign or malignant in nature

Cardiac tumors are rarely primary tumors which means begins in cardiac region but mostly cardiac tumors are monastic from other sites.

Most common cardiac tumor in children is Rhabdomyoma

Rhabdomyoma is rare and benign mesenchymal tumor that form in heart muscles. its most common primary tumors in children

It mainly arise in ventricular myocardium of heart 

It is usually found during pregnancy or when baby is infant.

CAUSES OF CHILDHOOD CARDIC TUMOR:

 It is caused by genetic changes happen before birth these changes leads to tuberous sclerosis.

 Tuberous sclerosis has mutations in their TSC1 or TSC2 gene and these two TSC1 and TSC2 genes responsible for suppressing tumors

 But children without tuberous sclerosis can also develop tumors- In these cases cause are not known yet.

SYMPTOMS OF CHILDHOOD CARDIC TUMOR:

1. Dyspnea, trouble breathing especially when lying down
2. Feel tired and weak
3. Swollen legs , ankles, belly
4. Fast heart rate 
5. Change in heart rhythm
6. Coughing, feeling dizzy or fainting
7. Heart failure

4. MRI
5. Biopsy

2. Advice mother to  Take proper diet during pregnancy
