Pink eye is the other name for conjunctivitis. It is the infection or inflammation of the conjunctiva ( a layer that covers the outer layer of the eyeball or white part of the eye)
Irritant or allergic conjunctivitis.
Allergic conjunctivitis: irritation of eyes occurs due to exposure to an allergen (dust, pollen, etc.)
Infective conjunctivitis: inflammation of eyes due to viral or bacterial infection. Bacterias streptococcus, staphylococcus mainly causes the infection of the eye.
Acute conjunctivitis: in acute conjunctivitis symptoms remain for 1 to 2 months.
Chronic conjunctivitis: when symptoms of conjunctivitis last up to four weeks.

â— Apis mellifica: the burning sensation is well marked in Apis mellifica. It is indicated where eyelids are swollen like a water bag with needle-like pain and relieved by cold applications. Watery discharge is hot. Suppurative inflammation of the eyes.
â— Euphrasia officinalis: it is mainly given in catarrhal conjunctivitis, discharge is acrid. Eyes are watery all the time. Discharge is thick and yellow . sensation of sand particles in the eyes.
