Allergy eye
Pink eye is the other name for conjunctivitis or irritant and allergic conjunctivitis. It is the inflammation of the conjunctiva ( a layer that covers the outer layer of the eyeball or white part of the eye). Allergic conjunctivitis occurs due to exposure to an allergen like dust, pollen, sun exposure etc.
Causes:
Sometimes the body’s immune system overreacts to particular things and releases excessive histamine in the eyes and causes redness and burning.

Conjunctival scraping test: to examine white blood cell and eosinophil that becomes activated in allergic conditions
Blood test to see antibodies produced by body Management:
Close windows if you are allergic to pollen.
Avoid certain irritants that causes eyes irritation
Wash eyes frequently with cold water, it can give relief to the eyes.
Wash hands before touching the eyes.
Avoid eye makeup.
Do not wear contact lenses.
Soft clean clothes should be used for cleaning the crust from the eyes.
Homeopathy management:
Apis mellifica: the burning sensation is well marked in Apis mellifica. It is indicated where eyelids are swollen like a water bag with needle-like pain and relieved by cold applications. Watery discharge is hot. Suppurative inflammation of the eyes.
Euphrasia officinalis: it is mainly given in catarrhal conjunctivitis, discharge is acrid. Eyes are watery all the time. Discharge is thick and yellow . sensation of sand particles in the eyes.
Histaminum: histaminum is well indicated in allergic conjunctivitis. Blepharitis . feeling as if forign particles inside the eyes. The Edges of the eyelids are red and swollen. Pruritus at the edge of the eyelids. Discharge is yellowish from the eyelids.
